Activate Learning is delighted to be working with Pluss to deliver the new Work and Health Programme contract on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
Our new programme is called ‘Opportunities Unlimited’ and it will help over 1500 people across Oxfordshire to find long-term work over the next seven years. At least 85% of people on the programme will have a health condition or disability.
Andy Marshall. Director of Employability and Stakeholders at Activate Learning, said: “Opportunities Unlimited will help participants to develop their confidence so they feel ready and motivated to find work. We will help participants to search for jobs, develop digital skills and introduce them to open-minded employers. We can also arrange community-based activities such as health, exercise or wellbeing groups, and will offer specialist support to help overcome any specific challenges such anxiety, addiction or debt.”
Activate Learning and Pluss will also continue to promote the Disability Confident campaign to employers to help them maximise the benefits of employing people with disabilities. Activate Learning and Pluss will begin delivery of the Work and Health Programme on 15 January 2018. The contract will help over 35,000 people across the Southern region move into sustainable employment over the next seven years. The Work and Health Programme is part-funded by the European Social Fund.
