City centre campus, Oxford

Our city centre campus benefits from a central Oxford location, close to transport links, amenities and the historic city centre. It’s also a stone’s throw from the new Westgate Shopping Centre. The unique riverside location allows for a wonderful and safe environment to study in, with a variety of excellent facilities at your fingertips including a wellstocked library, gym, hair and beauty salons, café and our fantastic Waterside Restaurant. We are proud to also be home to specialist learning facilities, such as the renowned Rycotewood Furniture Centre which has been dedicated to delivering furniture design and make training since 1938.

Technology campus, Blackbird Leys

Our specialist Technology campus in Blackbird Leys was transformed in 2016, taking advantage of an £8m investment. This high-specification facility supports training in a wide range of technological industries, including construction, engineering, IT, computing and motor vehicle. These facilities enhance student experience, equipping you with the knowledge and skills needed to go far in a range of exciting and fast-paced  technological industries.


Our sites offer you a welcoming environment where you'll be treated like an adult, with high-specification facilities to fire up your learning:

  • Industry standard learning spaces and IT suites across the campuses, you will have access to learning zones equipped with some of the latest technologies, including Apple TVs, PCs, iPads and laptops 
  • Facilities for work and play including well-stocked learning resource centres; shops; cafés and students’ unions, with spaces to relax and socialise 
  • Industry-specific workshops for creative fields including fashion, jewellery and ceramics. Further, an additional specialist workshop – the well-respected Rycotewood Furniture Centre – has been a hub for designing and building furniture for more than 75 years. (Oxford city)

  • Catering kitchens – Put theory into practice and serve paying customers in the Waterside Restaurant and Recharge canteen 
  • Hair and beauty salons – Hone skills on paying customers visiting the state-of-the-art Oxford Lifestyle Centre, which offers personal training, exercise, hair and beauty, and sports massage services to members of the public
  • Garage – Learn and deliver practical projects in our industry standard garage
  • Multimedia studios – We provide specialist facilities including studios for recording, TV and photography, as well as a theatre space and Mac suites for graphics work
  • Shop - Our revamped on-campus shop is run by our LLD/D students (learners with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities), developing their customer service and employability skills while selling snacks and stationery to members of the public
  • Sports - Sports students undertake practical activities in The Gym, our onsite fitness facility

Blackbird Leys:

  • Technology Campus and Construction Centre – Hundreds of students learn skills for life in a centre dedicated to brickwork, plastering, plumbing, painting and decorating, and carpentry. We also specialise in courses for emerging green technologies

Across the two sites, we work closely with leading employers from across the region and the UK who shape our courses to ensure the content is relevant to today’s skilled trades. 

Not only that but you’ll receive expert tuition from lecturers, and input from businesses, who help to shape our courses to make them relevant to the workplace and support you on your career pathway.


Open to the public

Catering students cook in our industry standard kitchens and serve food to paying customers in our restaurant The Waterside and our canteen Recharge, while our purpose built salons offer hair and beauty treatments to paying customers at the state-of-the-art Oxford Lifestyle Centre.

Sport students help run the gym at the Oxford Lifestyle Centre, which offers personal training, exercise and sports massage services to members of the public.

Our revamped on campus shop is run by our LLD/D students (learners with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities), developing their customer service and employability, skills while selling snacks and stationery to members of the public. 

In and around Oxford

Oxford is a welcoming, friendly university city, with an excellent reputation for education. It has transport links to London, Heathrow and Gatwick airports, and other major cities and towns across the UK.

The city has a wealth of facilities, including stunning architecture, museums (such as the Ashmolean and the Natural History Museum), bars, cafés  and restaurants, and many shopping facilities - from the Westgate Shopping Centre (opened in 2017) to the High Street and Covered Market, featuring many independent retailers.



Our main campus at City of Oxford College is just a 10-minute walk from Oxford Railway Station. There are very frequent trains to central London, which is less than one hour away. Connections are available to every other major city and town in the UK. 

A 24-hour express bus service to Heathrow airport runs every 20 minutes (at peak times). Services are also available to Stanstead, Luton, Gatwick and other airports. Express buses to London are also very popular.


Oxford is one of the cycling capitals of England. There are a large number of cycle lanes, bike racks and bikes for hire if you plan to cycle to college. The routes link together through the town centre and form a network covering much of the region.
